Peru Tours & Peru Amazon Tours

Peru is a South American country that has a diverse geographical terrain. After breakfast at the lodge we continue our trip in our private car to the fluvial port of Atalaya, from there we start our trip in a motorized boat through the Madre de Dios River to the Natural hot springs and then to the next lodge, the trip will be for 4 to 5 hours by boat, on the way we can see many species of birds such as herons, macaws, toucans, kingfishers, etc.
Each day, we had 2-3 activities that we could choose from that included searching for poison dart frogs in the jungle, zip-lining in the canopy, learning how to do weaving with women from the local amazon jungle tours peru village, bird watching, night hikes, dolphin cruises down the river, cultural visits to the village where we played soccer with the locals, fishing, and more that I'm probably forgetting.
Overall: Tambopata gets our pick as the best "all-round" jungle option in Peru, in general offering the best overall value in terms of ease of access, standards of accommodation, and opportunities to observe wildlife and experience the Peruvian Amazon Jungle.

However if you wish to visit the true "Amazon River" rather than a tributary, want to avoid the lengthy road travel from Cusco to Manu, or prefer a higher standard of lodge but without the expense of the Reserved Zone, then you may find better options elsewhere.
The large size of Iquitos also means that wildlife is less abundant in the regions close to the city, so if you are travelling to this region to watch bird-life or wildlife opportunities will be less than elsewhere in Peru unless you travel for extended periods of time deep within the Amazon away from the city.

The Amazon is the largest tropical jungle in the world spread out over nine countries in South Peruvian Amazon covers more than 60% of the country and is one of the most biologically diverse regions on planet Earth, with Peru as a nation containing the largest number of bird species and the third-largest number of mammalian species in the world.
The truth is that the Peruvian Amazon is a fascinating, rare, and beautiful location on our planet, and whichever part of the Amazon you decide to visit as part of a holiday or tour you will undoubtedly have opportunities to spot incredible wildlife, listen to the fascinating sounds of the jungle by night, sleep in a jungle lodge, and have unique and wonderful experiences.
This day after breakfast we start our hike to a beautiful primary forest with our daily backpack carrying mineral water, snacks, lunch and our travel equipment such as camera, binoculars, telescope and machete, to explore the jungle to see birds like: Blue and Yellow macaw, Red and Green macaw, Scarlet macaws, toucans, woodpeckers, eagles, antbirds, hummingbirds, tanagers, etc.

Here the beautiful Bearded Mountaineer Oreonympha nobilis, a restricted‑range species endemic to southern Peru, can be seen feeding, as indicated on the map of the Manu Biosphere Reserve, showing location of lodges mentioned in the article 51 neotropical birding 5 on tree tobacco.
Not far from Iquitos is the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, a very distant and incredibly beautiful region that is one of the least visited parts of the Peruvian jungle; in the south is the newly created Zone Tambopata incorporating 600,000 hectares plus high Tambopata Candamo River and its tributaries, which contain some of the endangered rainforest animals and species of flora and exciting world fauna.
