Condensate drains remove condensate separated in centrifugal separators, air receivers, refrigerated dryers and filters from the compressed air system. Irrespective of the reason why the sump water backs up (primary sump failure, power outage, check valve failure, or excessive water flow from a storm) the battery backup system will activate and eject the water out of the home instead of flooding the basement.
Installed at collection points anywhere in your pneumatic system, these heavy-duty drains can be depended upon to discharge the condensate auto trap automatically and to eliminate the need for periodic or constant blow-downs so costly in time and compressed air losses.

When pin (3) of the timer integrated circuit 28 goes to +V (valve closed condition) the timer integrated circuit 33 is enabled in its astable mode, thereby simulating a valve opening condition for a period of approximately two seconds every ten minutes, by switching the transistors 37 and 38 to ON should the valve 22 not otherwise open as a result of pin (3) of the timer integated circuit 28 going to zero volts.
